Use the correct charger
Using the original charger recommended by the manufacturer is essential to maintaining the health of the battery. An incorrect charger may cause the charging voltage to be too fast or uneven, which will damage the cells. Original chargers usually have built-in protection features to prevent overcharging and overheating of the battery.
Avoid extreme temperatures
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are more resistant to low temperatures than lithium-ion batteries, but it is still recommended to avoid using the battery in extreme conditions. If you need to drive in cold weather, consider using batteries with an auto-heating function that heats itself up at low temperatures. In hot weather, try not to leave the battery in the sun or in closed, poorly ventilated areas to avoid overheating.
Proper storage during the off-season
If you do not plan to use the e-bike for a long time, such as in winter, be sure to properly prepare the battery for storage. Charge it to 50-70% and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid completely discharging it before storing, as this can lead to a decrease in battery capacity. It is recommended to check the charge level every few months and recharge the battery if necessary.
